Neil Crombie is a director, producer and writer whose broadcast
credits cover drama-documentary (Queer as 18th Century Folk),
history (Forbidden Fruit), biography (King George V, Michael
Caine and Prince Charles) and television series (including
series on American architecture and life in Rio). 'Why Men
Wear Frocks', his film about being a transvestite presented
by the artist Grayson Perry, has been short listed for a
Grierson Award for Most Entertaining Documentary. Neil has
been collaborating with Alain de Botton on television projects
for the past four years, including Philosophy: A Guide to
Happiness, Status Anxiety and The Art of Travel.
